On Location from Rome, Italy
Rome is a city of beautiful architecture, excellent wine
and a fascinating history. I was most fortunate that it was
also the location of the European Real Estate Network
(EREN) and Leading Real Estate Companies of the World
conferences.
Members from the U.S. and more than 14 countries
gathered in Rome for several days of meetings and
networking opportunities. As one could assume, the
conferences were well attended by our European partners,
and many came from much further. Our colleagues from
China and Singapore, the United Arab Emirates and from
Australia and New Zealand also traveled the distance to
take part in these events.
Halstead Property President Diane M. Ramirez and I went
to the conferences both to speak and to listen to our
colleagues on a myriad of topics including international
marketing and cross-border referrals, as well as more
universal subjects such as Web 2.0 strategies.
While experience informs me that our returning suitcases
would be dangerously near their weight limit laden with
a collection of brochures, handouts and notes, the most
important items we brought back would not be among
their contents.
The one-on-one conversations, the understanding of
other markets and the relationships formed comprises the
greatest value for Halstead’s clients. They were the things
that uniquely allow our company to effectively market
exclusive properties abroad, and better serve our buying
clients that come to us from all over the world. They also
represented Halstead’s ability to secure the services of
the finest local real estate experts for our clients’ real
estate needs in destinations around the globe.
